1) I don’t know Tinubu’s position in APC –Obasanjo


Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says he doesn’t know the position Asiwaju Bola Tinubu currently holds in the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Obasanjo said this during a programme titled, “The Talk,” which was aired on a YouTube Channel, “Voice of the People.”


2) 2019: Amosun insists on handing over to Akinlade


Despite the fact that the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress has submitted the name of oil mogul, Dapo Abiodun, as the Ogun State governorship candidate, the state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, on Friday insisted on handing over to his choice candidate,  Adekunle Akinlade.

This was contained in a statement released on his behalf by the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Otunba Adedayo Adeneye.


3) Necessary rites performed on Prophetess Naomi, Ooni’s new wife – Palace


The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has unveiled his new wife, Olori Moronke Naomi Silekunola.

The Palace of Ooni of Ife announced this on Friday in a statement by the Director of Media and Public Affairs of the Palace, Mr. Moses Olafare.



4) Musa: We’re going forrevenge against Bafana Bafana


Al-Nassr striker Ahmed Musa still harbors hard feelings ahead of the national team’s crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa at the FNB Stadium (Johannesburg) on November 17.


5) Finally Saudi Arabia admits Khashoggi died in consulate


Saudi Arabia on Saturday, finally admitted that journalist, Jamal Khashoggi died in a fight inside its Istanbul consulate and that it fired two senior officials over his death.


6) APC moves to decimate Saraki in Kwara


Indications have emerged that the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki may have sponsored several candidates in the just concluded primary elections of the All Progressives Congress APC in Kwara state.


7) Unilorin produces 103 first class graduates


University of Ilorin has produced 103 First Class graduates out of a total number of 12,108 students that will graduate in the institution’s 34th graduation ceremony next week Tuesday.

This is just as it was announced that seven students of the university bagged First Class grade at the Law School on Thursday.


8) Nigeria Airways: Two retirees slump, die at verification centre


Two retirees who were former staff of the defunct Nigeria Airways Limited (NAL) yesterday slumped and died after waiting for long in the verification queue at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

The federal government gave approval for part payment of their severance emoluments of N22. 5 billion out of N45 billion, opened verification centres at different parts of the country where the retirees would process their documentation for payment.


9) Kaduna State No. 1 in registering property, enforcing contracts


The World Bank has ranked Kaduna State number one in registering property and enforcing contracts in its latest ranking of doing business in Nigeria.

The bank also ranked Kaduna State fifth in ease of doing business and 17th in dealing with construction permits, according to the  News Agency of Nigeria (NAN),citing the bank’s Doing Business in Nigeria, 2018 Report.


10) Video clip: Kano assembly summons Daily Nigerian editor


The Committee set up by the Kano State House of Assembly to investigate the authenticity of a video clip allegedly showing Governor Abdullahi Ganduje receiving bribe, has summoned the Editor-in-Chief of Daily Nigerian,Malam Ja’afar Ja’afar, to appear before it.

Daily Nigerian is an online newspaper that published the controversial video clip.


11) New Minimum Wage Suffers Setback As FG Aligns With Govs


The hope of a new minimum wage for Nigerian workers has hit a snag as the federal government has aligned itself with the position of state governors who said they are having difficulty paying the current benchmark wage and, therefore, cannot afford the N30,000 figure proposed as minimum wage.
