Nigeria...which way forward? Individual rebranding...'the audacity of my hope'

It's time to do away with the politics of 'stomach infrastructure' or what some refer to as 'politics of rice and beans' or whatever is the trending euphemism for our shoddy political culture and patronage. As 2019 election approaches no matter how worthless you think your vote is, don't u dare sell it...lest you sell away your future and again point the finger of blame at the leaders you sold your future to. Be priceless, will you?!

When youths with a better orientation find their way into government offices their resolve will be tested and it is a failure of this test that have advanced the countries misery. Yes! Every now and then innocent youths that ought to make this changes end up been devoured by their ambitions and agents of corruption. The zeal for change wilts away at the mention of few figures and several zeros..how sad! That's always the case when we still see money as an end. But it's not the ultimate! When our patriotism and resolve is strong enough to challenge the staus-quo then I see a better future. Be firm!

Be the change you seek! if we start exhibiting the changes we aspire for by being an agent of the change as an individual and within our family and our various communities then the trend will manifest at governmental level, steady maybe but eventually it will!

Despite the effect of social bonds and the intensity at which a defective society have negative influence on our orientation. Individuality is still the key as I see it,the key that can lead to spirals of change right from that poor fellow living in the slum to the rich man living in an expensive mansion.

If we keep expecting something and everything from the government then our disappointment will only be increasing on a geometric scale. Let us start living in the contentment of what our hands sets forth, let us find peace in showing love and kindness to our neighbours,to that old beggar along the street of your house, to that young lad who's trying to cross the street. happiness is a bye-product of happiness, only 'you' can give yourself the happiness you seek!

The government cannot change how a Muslim brother sees his christian counterpart, stop religious violence it's tearing us apart! accommodate people of different religion.what if you were given birth into a catholic family?...yes am talking to you AbdulRauf! and Julius what if your father were to be an Imam?

Ethnicism can only be changed by conceiving 'Uchenna' as your brethren and seeing 'Muhammed' as your a member of your family, 'Adewale' would never hurt you if you treat him with love as you would your brother. Nigeria is one and Kano belongs to all Nigerians and same thing goes to Abia and indeed Lagos, 'Ethnic parapoism' (ethnic togetherness) is a great leap forward if but know! Say NO to ethnicism!

If you ask me the way out, I think it is 2019. This voice is powerful enough, this movement is ripe, find people from amongst yourselves and equip them with the political power to drive your ambition constitutionally. Change the narrative, change the conversation. Ask the right questions, and ask the right authorities. Ask your governors, ask your senators. If you don't get the right answers, wait for the right time and change your representatives.
