Kaduna Teachers Disengagement: Fayose and El-rufai Attack Each Other

It is no new story that over twenty thousand (20,000) primary school teachers in the public schools woefully failed the competency test organised by the Kaduna state government. The Outcome of the test made the state governor Mallam Nasir El-rufai to announce the immediate disengagement of the incompetent teachers.

The sack of teachers causes a lot of reactions from Nigerians, some state governors and political leaders commend the Kaduna state government for taking steps to enhance the quality of education in the state while some mostly the opposition party members disagree with the state government decision.

Reacting to the disengagement is President Muhammadu Buhari, he solidly support and shower praises on the Kaduna state governor for implementing important reforms.

PMB said "It's a very serious situation when teachers cannot pass the examinations they are supposed to administer to their students. It underscores the urgent need for comprehensive national reform.

Meanwhile the governor of Ekiti state Mr Ayodele Fayose take a dig at the Kaduna state governor Mallam Nasir El-rufai for sacking thousands of teachers in the state. He also faults President Muhammadu Buhari for supporting the disengagement of teachers from public service.

Mr Fayose said "it is sad that President Buhari whose government promised to create jobs for Nigerians is supporting throwing of about twenty-two (22,000) teachers to the labour market after causing loss of millions of jobs in the private sector and collapse of several companies".

Peter Ayodele Fayose whose state was announce as the best in previous National Examination Council, NECO, also advice the Kaduna state government and the All Progressive Congress to take a trip to Ekiti state and learn how teachers are trained for the purpose of lifting the educational standard in a state.

The Kaduna state governor, did not allow these allegations to goes by, he countered Ayodele Fayose with a respective reply. He writes,

"Your Excellency sir, we are not sacking teachers in Kaduna. Rather we are replacing unqualified people who are unfit to be called teachers to save the future of the next generation".

Mallam Nasiru El-rufai has ordered the state universal basic education board to recruit new teachers for the primary schools. He then challenged the sacked teachers to reapply if they felt they are good for the job.
