I made up my mind not to search for job or work for anyone-Laniyan Olaitan CEO footfreak.

The high rate of unemployment in the world is appalling And increasingly overwhelming mostly in Africa. Approximately two million graduates storm the labour market in nigeria every year with no job available as the companies to employ them are planing to down size the number of staff they have.

Can we meet you sir?

Footfreak: Thank you for giving me the privilege to introduce myself, my name is  Laniyan Olaitan CEO of Footfreak. A native of Lagos state, Lagos Island to be precise and I reside in Lagos.

How long have you been self employed?

Footfreak: Five years now.

What prompted you to be an entrepreneur?

Footfreak: During my university days I do see a large number of unemployed graduates everywhere, since then I made up my mind that I will never in my life search for white collar jobs or work for anyone.

Can you share some of the challenges you've faced so far?

Footfreak: The major challenge faced is electricity. We all know that Nigeria don't have constant light, all we do is to run on generator and the cost of PMS is killing.

Secondly, setting up as foot wear designer aren't easy, I have to get equipment one after the other. Supply of product in bulk and getting paid on time is another major challenge we are dealing with presently. I will also like to include training and managing apprentice as part of the challenges.

How do you plan to solve these challenges?

Footfreak: As per issue of electricity, that is a national issue. I will only plead to the government to do everything within its capacity to stabilize the nation power. The company has decided to receive 80% upfront payment before supply of bulk productions. For the apprentice, it's difficult nowadays to see serious minded and dedicated apprentice who will work diligently.

Do you think your business is fulfilling it's purpose?

Footfreak: yes it is, God has been faithful. I am gradually moving towards fulfilling the goal set as the highest producing footwear designer in the world.

As a member of Ceos' Hub how do you wish to uplift the organisation?

Footfreak: I see Ceoshub in the highest level possible with the effort of every member of the organisation.
